Arabian Camels
The Arabian camel, introduced in 1906, was made in
five regular size designs - open mouth glass eyes, closed mouth glass
eyes,
painted eyes carved head, painted eyes molded head, and decal eyes
molded head. No reduced design was made. |

Open mouth, glass eyes
This early style was made with glass eyes, leather ears, a woven cord
tail, and a carved head.
Keller Style I - Very Scarce

Glass eyes, blanket
The glass eyes camel was produced with
a blanket. The gold braiding was the same as that used on some personnel
and elephants. Very Rare

Closed mouth, glass eyes
This style is the same as the previous but its mouth
is closed.
Keller Style II - Scarce

This Sell Brothers poster advertises a novelty camel race. Arabian
themes were popular in early circuses.

Molded head, painted eyes
The molded head camel shows little hand work done except for
painting. Keller Style III - Uncommon

This was the last style made. The painted eyes were changed to
applied

European Arabian Camel
This German or French made Arabian camel is about 9 inches tall. He is
jointed in much as the Schoenhut camels. His ears are painted leather and
his tail is twisted twine.
One example known.
