The very earliest ring masters were characterized by a black coat, black
hat, and a lapel flower. |

In about 1910, Schoenhut produced several magnificent wagons that were
very well modeled. This is the cage wagon. |

This is a donkey drawn toy with a reduced clown driver. Very rare. |

Circuses were often sold in sets. This reduced set contains most of the
more common reduced circus pieces. |

The clown creates the element of fun in the circus show. The white-faced
clown controlled the clowning situation - often setting the up the gag at the
expense of the Auguste (stupid or clumsy) clowns. These are early
