Kangaroo

by Judith Lile and Jim Sneed

The Kangaroos
The kangaroo, introduced in 1907, is known is two designs - glass eyes and painted eyes. There was no reduced size produced.
No decal eyes have been seen but there may be some.

Glass eyes

The kangaroo's body shape is not found in any other animal. The tail is wood and the ears leather. The bodies are painted in a golden brown over a white base. Sometimes black strips were added as shown in this example. The ears in this example appear to be replacements.

Painted eyes

The design of the painted-eyes version is the same as the glass-eyes version. The nostrils in the painted-eyes head are located in the front, rather than the top of the snout.
