Toy Patents

Most toy manufacturers protected their investments by securing patents on either the mechanisms that motivate the toy (known as a Utility Patent) or on the artistic design (known as a Design Patent). Shown herein are examples of a few company's patent efforts and photographs of the resulting toys.

The US Patent Office does not yet offer computer searchable archives for patents issued prior to the 1950s so I have to manually search for toy patents. If you can help, please do so and let me know the results. Thanks, Judy
