Pedestals are used to elevate the performers. Training an animal to stand on a pedestal takes a lot of patience. Schoenhut made three sizes of pedestals - a tall, a short, and a reduced.

Pedestals are found in red, yellow, or blue. A decorative lithographed paper band was applied near the top of regular sized pedestals. The reduced pedestal is shown at left.

The most common base color for pedestals is yellow. Blue and red are much rarer. The regular size is found in a tall and a shorter height.
